The speech from the pilot still gives me chills.
Miss it already. Honestly, when you string the clips together like that without context, it seems a bit like a football version of Degrassi. But it couldn’t be further from the true. FNL proved that drama and melodrama aren’t the same thing. You can tell serious, emotional stories and it doesn’t need to be soapy. Quality television and good story telling are valuable.
