Tonight, I attended at talk at UCLA by B.J. Novak. You might know him as “Ryan the Temp” turned “Ryan the Corporate Boss” turned “Ryan the Cokehead” on The Office. If I had to pick someone in showbizz today that I’d want to model myself after, Novak would be at the top of my list. He writes and acts on a great comedy show with a team of great writers...

Ben Gibbard and the Meaning of Life →
Gibbard drops an essay for Paste magazine. There’s gold in the individual paragraphs, but I suspect his star power got the best of Paste. As a whole, it feels like scattered thoughts strung together by a thin thread. Not bad, but it’s no Klosterman.
